The price makes sense.

Most land surveying software charges per employee, so every hire raises the bill. At $40 or more per person each month, a 10-person firm pays $400 before a single optional feature is added, and hire two more people and it climbs automatically. The software becomes a growth tax.

Kudurru Stone is built in Meridian, Idaho, by people who started in the field and moved into the office, not a company that learned the word backsight last week.

Kudurru Stone has been built specifically for U.S. land surveying firms, in beta in 2017 and released in 2018. The product understands ALTA, NSPS, PLS, boundary work, and how a field-to-office handoff is supposed to work, because that is the work, not a vocabulary list bolted onto a generic tool.

It is the result of more than two decades building software for survey firms, going back to 2001, turned into one product any firm can use.
