Build the crew around a chief
A scheduled job gets a crew chief plus crew members, a work type, the equipment it needs, the project files the crew should have, notes, and a checklist. It is how survey field work is actually organized, not anonymous "resources" in time slots.
Multi-day jobs as one assignment
Give one scheduled item several dates. A three-day ALTA or a week of construction staking stays one assignment from start to finish, with start and end times and anticipated hours on each day.

Rain day? Drag the card to another day or another person. To push a whole run of work, move an item and the future items after it forward in one step, picking exactly which ones go. Lock the items that must not move.
Double-booking warnings
When you save, Kudurru Stone checks whether a crew member is already on another open job that day, whether the equipment is already out, and whether anyone has approved time off. It warns, you decide.
Time off on the board
Approved time off shows on the schedule, so nobody gets assigned on a day they are out. When a manager reviews a time-off request, it flags anyone already scheduled that day.
Planned versus actual hours
Every card shows the hours you planned next to the hours the crew actually logged, drive time included. You see the overrun on Tuesday, not on the invoice.

Scheduling off a list hides the fact that two jobs are ten minutes apart and a third is two hours the wrong way. When you schedule a job, Kudurru Stone shows a Google Map of everything already scheduled that day, so you can hand nearby work to the same crew and keep the route tight.
The Scheduler Map plots a whole date range by employee, with your project boundary polygons and KML/KMZ files on top. It shows job locations, not live GPS of your trucks.

Crew members get an in-app notification when you schedule them or change their assignment, plus an email if they turn it on. No 6 a.m. phone tree.

The Kudurru Stone mobile app for iOS and Android shows today's work and the upcoming schedule with job details. It keeps a week either side of today on the phone, so the schedule still opens where the signal does not.

Admins and managers build and change the schedule. Field staff see their own assignments, mark work complete, and log time against it, but they cannot move, copy, or delete scheduled work. Individual items can also be locked so they do not get dragged by accident.
